Random physical device lockups after multiple exits

For some reason after running ttlcd multiple times, the display locks up and requires a physical reset (unplug/plugin/power cycle). This may have something to do with the sequence of command recently processed and not "cleanly" completing a series of expected commands. Further research into the protocol is required.
