Missing Quickstart guide

From a new user perspective - the last thing I want to do is sit through an 8-minute video and parse a 25 page wiki. I just want to benefit from OSS. The lack of a quick start guide in the root README is a big gap. Why do I have no idea how to get started with this, despite being a power user developer myself? I don't care to become an expert on Firefox specific implementation details. I trust the OSS community to have our best interest at heart. IPhone revolutionized the world with a single button press. Not a video and book.
