Unable to update Steam Deck firmware

May be related to this issue https://github.com/CachyOS/CachyOS-Handheld/issues/82 Got a notification steam deck had a firmware update, reboot the deck per gamemode and it just gets stuck at the boot screen. Tried 3 times, first time waited a couple of minutes, hit the A button, got the boot menu. Next time waited 10 minutes, same results, this last attempted I let it sit for an hour and nothing happened. I just updated the OS, all the packages in the OS match those shared by Naim in the link above. The OS is completely up to date. Is there something I am doing wrong, will provide whatever needed to troubleshoot, will a bug report help? I am using the LCD model steam deck.
