is there any chance of stillcolor/disable dithering creating damage to the screen ?

so i'm not sure about the correlationg but rather shortly after using stillcolor, I noticed my macbook air m1 started flickering at times, and now it's suddenly slighly washed out and not as vibrant, contrast is off too is there a possibility that disablin dithering might lead to such issues?
