`UX`: Investigate better note-taking app

# Subject While "Sticky Notes" is good as a simple notes application, which is similar to Windows Sticky Notes, I think that something more advanced is needed for planning, while remaining simple to use. The better Notes app would have options to: - Export notes for manual syncing - GitHub-like "Issues" interface (including "Opened" notes & "Closed" notes) - Markdown support - Retain support for "Sticky Notes"-like functionality, which is very useful for temporary notes This would make planning notes better to look at & organize. # Best candidate [Folio](https://github.com/toolstack/Folio) It's a perfect companion to "Sticky Notes". **Sticky Notes** = temporary notes **Folio** = planning (task) notes ## Drawbacks It has some nitpicks, like truncating the title if window width is 660px+, since I like to write a bit longer titles, like I do here on GitHub, but manually setting it to 660px margin is going to be alright. It doesn't support checkboxes, but it's still doable to use. https://github.com/toolstack/Folio/issues/70 It doesn't have the "Open" & "Closed" notes functionality, so "Closed" notes are moved to the trash without category distinction, but it has beautiful sorting of notes per colors & acronyms in left sidebar, which you can name & sort however you like, f.e: - PL = Personal Life, with your favorite color - WL = Work life, with color of the workplace logo - etc.
