repeat is cancelling

After one or two presses of "n" (next) , "repeat" stops working in dape https://www.reddit.com/r/emacs/comments/1qpge0w/debugging_with_dape_repeat_self_cancelling/ I have tried removing superfluous things like pulsar (pulse) and cape completion, but it's still happening. I realise this isn't much to go on, but if you have any idea why this might be, I could look into it further. My own setup is [here](https://github.com/rileyrg/Emacs-Customisations) and there isnt anything overly extravagant.
