Strange elevated CPU and ssd write load of Synapse server after connecting with Mautrix
We recently switched our community maintained Matterbridge fork to this library and while it seems to function well, there is a strange issue with it significantly increasing the CPU and SSD writeload of the Synapse homeserver it connects too:
https://github.com/matterbridge-org/matterbridge/issues/101
As there is no smoking gun in either the Matterbridge or the Synapse logs, I am a bit stumped with debugging this further.
Any idea what the cause might be? Given that it is only ideling and there was no such issue with the old go-matrix library, it is likely somehow connected with something this library does different.
