Why don't use continuous release tag?

Hi, I noticed that even though you have a release tagged “continuous,” you create a new tag each time the cron job runs, which creates an absurd number of releases (9 pages in 1 year of operation). This brings me to my main question: why not use the “continuous” tag and just change the name of the release for the latest version, as is done in most AppImage repositories? This also has the advantage of facilitating retrieval by automated scripts.
