bug: notify fails to parse after upgrade to 0.28.1

**Describe the bug** I am receiving the following error message when I try to edit a Node and then save it. Previously, in version 0.28.0, everything worked perfectly with the same configuration. However, if I update to 0.28.1, the error appears immediately upon saving.
