Strange Ctrl-a behavior

I briefly tried org-modern, but encountered a number of issues. One of them is strange behavior when editing source blocks (which is one of my primary uses of org mode, so this is a show stopper for me). When org-modern is enabled and I press Ctrl-a (org-beginning-of-line) while on a #+begin_src or #+end_src tag, the cursor moves to the end of the previous line. Also, if I navigate through the code starting at the beginning of the line and using next-line and previous-line, I end up moving off the beginning of the line. I suppose editing src blocks must not be common, because breaking Ctrl-a is obviously a rather major bug.
