digikam permanent updates

digikam is part of the am repository, i think its not a "standard / github" appimage. everytime am -u is run it finds a new version of digikam, downloading it for minutes and installs it. That's a bit strange over time. Anybody has an idea what happens? Is there a script or so that fails and falsely concludes there is a new version? Is it possible somewhere in am config to deactivate / exclude digikam from the update (that's not really the purpose of a repository management, but want to avoid the unnecessary time / downloads).
