404 errors accessing new project

### Observed/problematic behavior I created a new project and did not choose to import an existing one. I was never presented any pages to enter more details. The project shows in my profile, and I can click on it there. However, the data for the project does not load and the browser console shows 404 errors related to accessing the project through the api.
