Please remove #slopware LLM commits and disallow their inclusion
# Problem
LLMs produce non-copyrightable garbage due to being massive unethical plagiarism machines. There are already multiple commits that acknowledge polluting the kakoune codebase (e.g. commits marked 'user with claude').
# Expected behavior
There should be an explicit policy stating whether #slopcode is welcome; I sincerely hope that policy will be to disallow it's inclusion.
If the policy is to disallow, at a minimum recent commits by @Yus314 must be purged (preferably via rebasing and not simply a revert).
# Addressing The Most Likely First Responses
This has nothing to do with LLM code quality (which is anecdotally rather horrible); this is purely about the fact that they are unethical plagiarism machines.
I know the United States Copyright Office has definitively stated (and had upheld by the courts) that anything output by an LLM (be it code, "art", a novel, etc.) cannot be copyrighted. If there are no other countries that have done so, it is likely to only be a matter of time. While kakoune attempts to place itself in the public domain, people using code generated by LLM's likely do not have sufficient rights to even explicitly waive any right to it as it may directly produce IP copyrighted by other people.
LLM usage is a hard line for an increasing number of people in the OSS community; I and thousands of others are intentionally discarding projects that incorporate this garbage. I hope y'alls will read the room and realize you need to stomp on this problem now, before it's too late. A handful of recent commits can be worked around; two hundred cannot. I literally cannot express how much it hurts to just have spent the last couple of weeks adjusting my muscle memory and learning kakoune after migrating from #neoslopvim only to immediately be facing another migration.
