Upgrade DataTables to v2.0.0 or higher

I was wondering if there are any plans to upgrade this project to use DataTables 2.0.0+, which has been available since February 2024. This release introduces a new `layout` parameter (in addition to the existing `dom`, which remains supported): https://cdn.datatables.net/2.0.0/ Would you be open to supporting an upgrade? And are there any existing migration guides, patterns, or prior discussions that I could build on to help move this forward?
