Lock widget frame - issue

Phone - Samsung S20FE Android version - 13 Locale - UK English Issue - I configured 3 lockscreen widgets and they work as expected. Then I turn on the lock widget frame setting switch under settings > layout. When this switch is on, my phone's home screen has a dead zone exactly corresponding to the widget area. By dead zone, I mean that I can see the icons on the home screen but touches are not registered. I force close the lockscreen widget app and the dead zone disappears.
