How to make it persistent

I am able to get this to work by running ~/.config/rofi/launchers/type-X/launcher.sh from the terminal and it works, but just the once. I have changed it in the launcher.sh file as stated, but still I just get the same ugly default rosi running, unless of course I add that line in the terminal again of course. what am I missing please?
