Charging status cycles between `charging` and `idle` indefinitely

Device is Pixel 10 Pro XL. This happens every ~5 s. Every time the charging is restarted the screen flashes and the phone vibrates. Replugging the charger changes nothing. Restarting the daemon temporarily fixes the issue but it appears again after 1-2 days.
