memory defined by KILL_SIZE will never be used at all, will it?

Hi, let's say that I call earlyoom with -M 1048576,1048576 then the last 1 GB of memory will never be used for anything, is that correct? Because whenever the amount of free mem drops below 1GB, processes will get the SIGKILL. So whatever I use for KILL_SIZE, this memory will not be useable at all? Then why would it make sense to use a killsize higher than say 100MB? Or do I get sth. wrong? Many thanks! Frank
