Mullvad VPN app for Linux, 2026.2. Networking with Virtual Machine Manager (QEMU) broken.
bug
### Is it a bug?
- [x] I know this is an issue with the app, and contacting Mullvad support is not relevant.
### I have checked if others have reported this already
- [x] I have checked the issue tracker to see if others have reported similar issues.
### Current Behavior
I'm on Debian 13.
Mullvad VPN app was working fine with Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) just 1 week ago. (Every time I reconnected to a different mullvad VPN server, I had to remove existing network device and add a new network device into the VM. Otherwise everything worked great.)
Recently I did a full system update with "sudo apt update" and "sudo apt upgrade" (including to latest Mullvad).
Now, just launching VMM (and typing in its admin password), after a minute or two, the internet for both guest (and the host!) gets disconnected.
Why is Mullvad suddenly incompatible with VMM?
### Expected Behavior
I expected it to continue working correctly.
### Steps to Reproduce
Run latest Mullvad on latest Debian 13 with latest VMM installed, with also a Debian 13 guest/VM machine. Hope this helps you reproduce the issue.
