llimllib's Diary

Between last week and this week, I had what I like to call a "week-end". During this time, I took some pictures and did some things. Read on to see pictures and hear tales.

Friday my friends and I started the night out by playing some setback, which people here have the odd habit of calling "pitch". Once I had my fill of that, I headed back to my building to see what was going on. The answer: nothing. Fortunately, my friend, an alumni of my frat, called to see if I would DD for him.

I met him at a bar called St. Mike's in Phoenixville. It was by quite an interesting place. A members only bar, it costs $10 to get a membership for a year, which another friend paid for me. In return for the membership, you get cheap beers and access to a bar that doesn't close until 3 AM. This combination seems to lead to a very odd mix of people inhabiting the bar. There were motorcycle dudes, young people, and old people, all in nearly even proportion. It was clearly the strangest mix of people that I've ever seen in a bar. Hopefully I'll go earlier sometime to really check it out.

My website apparently used to rank high for a "halloween pictures" search, I got 2 hits from that. I'm currently 1st for "school loft room", and 17th for "loft room". Amusingly, I'm 10th for "research on world domination". Who searches for that?

Saturday night, we threw another punch party with the girls from O Chi. This means cutting up lots of fruit, adding a few other ingredients, putting a whole bunch of alcohol in, and running water on the whole mess. This batch of punch was a bit weaker than usual, but we put food coloring in, which turned people's tongues green. Unfortunately, I was a party host, so I had to stay sober and clean up afterwards.

Would anyone want to read an article on latent semantic indexing?

I ended Saturday night with the girls in 106, where people were dancing on tables. It was fun, but I felt old because they're all well younger than me, and I didn't seem to quite fit in. It didn't help that the person (allie, on the left) I knew best in the suite doesn't go here anymore (transferred to vet tech school). We mostly talked about old times. Disturbing.

I don't want to graduate, but I can't wait to either.
