Amply gives you one-tap control over your phone's built-in battery charge-protection modes — and can run a single full charge on demand without losing your protective limit.

Modern phones can cap charging (often around 80%) to slow battery ageing. That's great day to day, but annoying right before a long trip. Amply lets you switch modes instantly, and its "full charge once" restores your protective limit automatically as soon as you're topped up.

Features:

* Switch charge-protection modes with one tap — from the app, a home-screen widget, or a Quick Settings tile.
* Full charge once: temporarily lifts the limit, then automatically restores your protective policy at 100%, on unplug, or after a safety timeout.
* Optional reconnect gesture: unplug and replug within a few seconds to start a full charge, no app needed.
* Honest status: Amply tells you when a setting is verified, only last-requested, or unknown — it never fakes certainty.
* Runs entirely on-device. No account, no ads, no tracking.

Useful on any device — no ADB, Shizuku, or special permissions needed:

* Charge alarm: pick a level and Amply reminds you to unplug when charging reaches it.
* Battery details: a live view of level, temperature, voltage, current, charge cycles, and health.
* Protection guide: on devices Amply can't control directly, it points you to your phone's own built-in battery-protection setting.

Which devices can Amply control directly?

Charge protection is built by each manufacturer, and it changes with system updates — so a list here would be out of date the moment it's written. Pixel devices generally have good support. Everywhere else it depends on your specific phone and its system version, and no list can promise you an answer.

So Amply doesn't guess: install it and open it. It checks your device on the spot and tells you what it can and can't do, before you set anything up.

If direct control isn't available, Amply is still useful — battery details, the charge alarm, and a guide to your phone's own protection setting — and you can contribute your device data to help expand support.

Direct control needs a one-time setup: grant WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS via Shizuku, or from a computer over ADB. Amply walks you through each step.

Amply is experimental, free, and open source (GPL-3.0).

It's just me building this — thanks for your patience if a reply takes a while. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
